Nelson dias lopes is an architect and painter, for him these two professions are inseparable. Assemblies and reliefs occupy an important part of his work (architect's obsession with 3D?). His painting offers a powerful contrast between the rigor of the structure of the work, very often predominantly vertical (still reminiscent of the architect?), And the exuberance in the juxtaposition of borrowed forms and patterns (evocation of the baroque of his native country ?). If Paris has become his city, his life, part of his heart still beats in Rio: he often returns there in search of his Brazilian oxygen.
He exhibits regularly in France, particularly in Paris, in institutional venues, salons and galleries.
His works can be found in the International Contemporary Art Fund of Busigny - Nord Pas de Calais - France and at the MNBA-National Museum of Fine Arts in Rio de Janeiro.
