Benedict Gerin
Bénédicte Gerin has evolved from the art of “beautiful writing” towards a sketchy painting. Exit the marked calligraphy trails, it ignores codes and dimensions, in a very personal journey where the definitions are never to be taken at face value, Feature words, text-images, transcend the frame: pushed to their strongest expression, they become rhythms, signs, traces, impulse… explosion!
She draws on acrylic and Indian ink, in the matter of vibrating papers which are part of the work, an expression of unprecedented power.
