Biography
Francois Nugues reveals to us his awareness of the world and the senses
The artist, born in Senlis in 1968, studied at the age of 21 in the Parisian studio of the great figure of the new School of Paris that was the Bourguignon Jean Bertholle (1909-1996). A graduate of the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, he is a creator in both technique and universe.
“François Nugues loves the lines, the traces of architecture and knows how to read the romantic struggle between ivy and stone when nature reclaims its right.
He is thus François Nugues, he reinvents in his plastic language a whole grammar of patterns and shapes born from natural elements or from the hand of man. Particularly interesting in his production are the different atmospheres with which he halos his painting according to the formats.
In ambitious dimensions, it offers us almost cosmic, macroscopic visions while in smaller formats, it is a more intimate, introspective and meditative world that it opens the doors to us.
Its particularly rich chromatic range allows us to sail in shades of spiritual blues, flamboyant and sensual oranges, velvety shades of gray like pastel. Sometimes in the heart of a canvas, our gaze is carried away by a centrifugal force, by a fleeting and mosaic perspective.

Undoubtedly, François Nugues leads us in his organization of a dynamic, balanced and suddenly precarious pictorial world. It seems to us that he is talking to us about our poor and fragile human condition. Thus, our perception is particularly sharpened by his works, we are edified.
Undoubtedly, the artist is a great of contemporary art, an authentic creator who devotes his life to art to, in all modesty, teach us to look and to see differently. ".
