Artist biography

The daughter of a line of artists, Patricia Byrs studied law, specializing in artistic property. At the same time, she joined the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris. After practicing her profession as a lawyer for several years, she decided to choose what was meaningful to her: the practice of art.
She exhibited on rue Dauphine while she wrote her law thesis. Simultaneously she presents her work in several Parisian galleries; Barzacchi Gallery, Grandia, National Galleries of the Grand Palais for the Lettrism exhibition, etc…
Driven by a thirst for knowledge about art, she resumed her studies and graduated in Advanced Research at the École du Louvre.
She is, among other things, the author of several works including: “Study of color and chiaroscuro in the work of Caravaggio”, “Kamin Lertchaiprasert, Life specific”, as well as numerous catalogs of contemporary artists.

After a position as project manager at the Ministry of Culture and Communication, she decided to move to Thailand for six years to realize a dream: open her workshop, discover and study a culture that has always fascinated her.
She will be an exhibition curator and art historian there, and will continue her writing work while organizing artist exhibitions. Experience which greatly influences his work by connecting it with new ideas and ways of creating.
His academic training allows him to link together practical creation and theoretical elaboration which mutually nourish each other. His pieces are made of terracotta, bronze, brass, resin but also made of textile or plush material. It does not see limits as to the materials of creation.

In his eyes, art is not the prerogative of a restricted elite. On the contrary, we are all carriers of a creative energy which only seeks to express itself. The artist is not the genius touched by grace, but simply the individual who gives free rein to the expression of his essence.
His time in Asia brought about an epiphany in his mind: art should not be mere decorum, as is all too often the case today, but an interpretation of the world. At the crossroads of Eastern spirituality and Western philosophy must be found a more complete truth about man and the cosmos.
Recurring subjects of his creation: nature and the ambivalent relationship of men with it, haunt his imagination. Nature that humans constantly outrage and destroy, while they too often forget that they themselves belong to its kingdom.
