HOW IT WORKS 

SELECTION OF ARTISTS AND WORKS

The artists, the works: their selections, discover them.

The choice of artists :  Our expert committee in which participates  Michele Coquet (Director of research at the CNRS in anthropology of arts and aesthetics) & Patricia Byrs Lasquier (Artist and former pupil of the Louvre school) has chosen to favor artists whose quality, originality and authenticity of the approach will ensure our collectors and art lovers to be fully satisfied with their acquisitions.

A gallery for each artist: So on the site you will discover their career paths, their main exhibitions, photos of their workshops and films dedicated to them. We thus wish to create for you a proximity with the artist whose works you appreciate.

The choice of works : Our expert committee also selects the works of artists. They are offered to you with a high definition visual to allow you to discover them, to be able to zoom in on details and to appreciate their realization. You can also post your findings on social networks and share them with your friends.

A gallery for each artist : Thus, on the site you will discover their paths, their main exhibitions, photos of their workshops and films devoted to them. We thus wish to create for you a proximity with the artist whose works you appreciate.

The : The works are offered to you at prices set by the artist and ACT ON ART. These prices are established according to the technique, the dimensions and the quotation of the artist.

A newsletter to stay informed : By subscribing to our newsletter, you will be regularly informed of news from the gallery, new artists who have joined us, new works that we are offering you, and exhibitions that we have loved.

A club for our collectors : Open to our best customers, the club will offer many advantages; Whether for the acquisition of new works, or to benefit from many personalized services: advice, events or exhibitions.

 

ORDERING

How is the acquisition of a work carried out on ACT ON ART.

Personalized advice : A question about an artist, a work and a technique, our team is at your disposal. At each stage of your acquisition, we support you. (Call us on 01 46 32 04 99, +33 (0) 1 46 32 04 99 or send an email to contact@actonart.fr )

The command : The characteristics of the works offered for sale are presented for each work in the section of our site "Discover the work you like", accessible by clicking on the "More info / zoom" icon visible when you hover over the artwork with your cursor. It is in this section that you will have the opportunity to order the work you wish to acquire.

Once you have made your decision to acquire a work offered by ACT ON ART - the order is only made via the website of ACT ON ART - you add it to the basket.
By viewing your basket all the components of the amount of your purchase are presented to you: Price of the work and shipping costs.

Shipping charges : They are not included in the price of a work except for certain works. You will be aware of this when validating your shopping cart. The shipping costs take into account the size, the weight of the work and the place of delivery.

The taxes :

  • For buyers with a delivery address in the European Union, you are not subject to any customs duties.
  • For buyers outside of the European Union, you may be required to pay import taxes or duties when you receive the work you ordered. We cannot give you an estimate of these customs duties for the importation of works of art so we advise you to contact the competent local customs authorities before placing your order. You are responsible for paying these taxes and customs duties.

Payment : Payments by credit card and bank transfer are accepted.

  • Payment by credit card  (CB, Visa, Mastercard, Paylib) & Paypal: After choosing this payment method and having validated the order, we reserve the selected work for you, we collect your payment, and we organize its delivery as quickly as possible. This payment is highly secure. It is based on Société Générale's secure online payment solution. The transaction is carried out in the space of our banking partner and we have no knowledge of the buyer's confidential payment information.
  • Payment by bank transfer : After choosing this method of payment and having validated the order, we reserve the selected work for you and we send you our RIB (Bank Identity Statement) by email. The work is reserved for you for 8 days. As soon as we receive your transfer, we will organize its delivery as quickly as possible.

Order Tracking :  For any questions regarding the follow-up of your acquisition, from order to delivery, send an email to monitoring.acquisition@actonart.fr, specifying your order number.

Our team will monitor your order daily, until it is delivered. She will inform you of any important information.

 

SHIPPING DETAILS

How is the delivery of a work on ACT ON ART?

Deliveries are guaranteed and are carried out by specialized carriers.

The packaging of the work : Particular care is given to the packaging of the work. The quality of the packaging and the use of suitable materials will ensure optimum protection during transport.

Delivery : ACT ON ART takes care of the relationship with the carrier both for the delivery and for the insurance of the work. We work with the most recognized carriers on the market: UPS, FEDEX, DHL, as well as highly specialized carriers in the field.

Collection of the work in the gallery : You will also be able to collect the work from the gallery in which case no delivery costs will be requested. An email will then be sent to you to specify the date of availability of the work and to arrange an appointment.

The delivery time : Once the work has been made available to the carrier, you will have to count on a transport time of 5 working days on average to 10 days at most.
Overall, between your order on the website and delivery to your home or any other place you would like, it will take between 1 and two weeks.

Delivery tracking : An email will be sent to you to inform you of the taking charge of the work by the carrier. You will then be able to follow the progress of the delivery of your order by connecting to your account on Act On Art or for more details by connecting to the site of the carrier whose name and tracking number you will have received. transport of the work.

Reception of the work : The delivered work will be accompanied by a delivery slip which must be signed by the purchaser or the person he will have explicitly designated when ordering (On the input field: Notes of the order). It will serve as proof in the event of a possible complaint. The purchaser or his representative must inform the carrier of any reservations (eg: damaged package).

You have 14 days to notify us of any defect: The work is damaged, the product does not conform to the product ordered. You let us know of your complaint by sending us an email to the address followed.acquisition@actonart.fr. Our team will mobilize to resolve this dispute, as quickly as possible and under the best conditions.

How to return a work to ACT ON ART.

Withdrawal : For any acquisition made on our online gallery, and if you are a national of the European Union, you will have 14 days from receipt of the work ordered to practice with ACT ON ART your right of withdrawal. This, without having to justify it for a reason and without having to pay a penalty. (For details: see § Guarantee, Withdrawal).
Note: After checking that the work has been returned to us in its original packaging and without having been damaged, we will reimburse you for the price of the purchased work, packaging costs and shipping costs. You will be responsible for the return costs.

The team:

Gilles Albert, Co-Founder and President: IT Director in a large French bank and Collector of Contemporary Art, he decided to launch ACT ON ART in 2016 with Jean-Pierre Tanguy, after two years of reflections on this project and several decisive meetings in the world of art and startups.
His goal ; Put the power of digital and e-commerce at the service of contemporary art, our artists, art lovers and collectors.

Jean-Pierre Tanguy Co-Founder and Artistic Advisor: Painter, engraver, mosaicist, honorary professor of the National School of Fine Arts in Paris, curator of numerous artistic events and exhibitions including the international biennial of Sarcelle devoted to engraving.
His goal : introduce talented artists to a large audience, art lovers and collectors.

Patricia Byrs-Lasquier Artistic advisor:  Doctor of Law, Art historian, artist, author and art critic, curator. Teaches the history of art and sculpture in France and abroad. Took part in various missions within the Department of Plastic Arts of the Ministry of Culture and Communication.
His goal : To provide the gallery with its knowledge, expertise, sensitivity and knowledge of the art world.

Michèle Coquet Editorial advisor:  Research director at the CNRS in anthropology of arts and aesthetics, having taught the history of classical and contemporary art at a university in Paris and author of books and articles dealing with these questions.
His goal : put his pen, his expertise and his intellectual knowledge at the service of the gallery.

Pieces : Each work exhibited in the gallery ACT ON ART is signed by the artist. They have been selected by our experts and will be delivered to you with a certificate of authenticity and an invoice. We take particular care in the selection of our artists and their works in order to provide you with all the guarantees of authenticity that you can expect.

We have designed the site taking particular care in the representation of the works, to guarantee you the best visual rendering; They are offered in high definition to allow you to better discover them, to be able to zoom in on details and to appreciate their realization.

The purchase : You are on a highly secure site - the green bar in the browser's navigation bar is a representative element - We offer you a trusted site for all your acquisitions of works of art.

Payment : We have opted for secure payment solutions guaranteeing the proper execution of your payment orders and ensuring the confidentiality of your banking data:

In the event of a problem related to the delivery, you have 14 days, from the date of receipt of the work, to report any defect to us: The work is damaged, the work does not comply with the commissioned work. You let us know your complaint by sending us an email to the address monitoring.acquisition@actonart.fr. Our team will mobilize to resolve this dispute amicably, as quickly as possible and under the best conditions; refund or return of the work. In the event that it will be agreed that the purchaser returns the ordered work, he will be reimbursed for the price of the work, packaging costs, shipping costs and return costs.

An insurance : Its purpose is to cover the costs caused by a defect during the delivery of the work. Insurance costs are covered by ACT ON ART.
 
Withdrawal : In accordance with European regulations, if you are a national of the European Economic Area and if you buy a good remotely, you have the right to change your mind about your purchase. It is the right of withdrawal. If you opt out, you don't have to justify yourself or pay penalties. You will have to pay the cost of returning the goods ordered.

You have 14 days francs to change your mind about your remote purchase.
The 1st day of the deadline for the goods is the same day of their reception.
If your order relates to several goods delivered separately or to a good made up of lots or multiple pieces whose delivery is staggered, the period begins upon receipt of the last good or lot, or the last piece.

You must return the work to Act On Art no later than 14 days after sending your withdrawal. You will only pay the direct costs of the return unless Act On Art pays for them.

We will reimburse on the day of recovery of the work and after verification that you are not liable for any depreciation of the work.

In the event of a defect: You have 14 days to notify us of any defect: The work is damaged, the product does not conform to the product ordered. Tax benefits (in France)

This concerns businesses, liberal professions and individuals.

For companies and liberal professions : Regarding the acquisition of works by living artists, article 238bis AB of the CGI stipulates that: "companies which acquire original works by living artists can deduct from the result of the exercise of acquisition and for the following four years, in equal fractions, a sum equivalent to the acquisition price of the work »You can therefore deduct, each year and for 5 years, 20% of the acquisition price of the work , but pay attention to the following 3 points:

For companies with BIC imposed on IS and IR :

  1. To benefit from the deduction, the company must exhibit the work of art in a place accessible free of charge to the public or to employees, with the exception of their offices, for 5 years (i.e. the period corresponding to the exercise of acquisition and the following 4 years).
  2. there is an annual deduction ceiling: “The deduction thus made for each financial year is capped: it cannot exceed the limit of 5 ‰ (per thousand) of turnover excluding tax, reduced by the total of payments made. under patronage ”(patronage = donations)
