Luc Bessin
Passionate about art and painting but also an airline pilot, Luc Bessin has seen the world for 30 years through the flight director (horizontal and vertical lines that intersect on an artificial horizon). It is this steering instrument that continues to guide him today, like a vector.
He reinvents pointillism by transforming the pilot's horizon line into a constellation of pixels which deconstruct and then reconstitute the portraits to better bring out the soul of the models and enhance their aura. His vision, which he created under the name Straight Art ©, is a nod to Street art, like a geometric, mathematical and binary vision of reality. It is in a way the early warning of the formatting of the soul by technology.

In the age of artificial intelligence, of excessive digitization, Luc Bessin wanted to return to the essence of the human being by refocusing on emotion and on the viewer. By playing with the luminosity, the facial features are contrasted to let the emotion live.
As you move away from the painting, the multitude of cross-lines fades in favor of a harmonious unity. Through this work of reconstituting the image in its entirety through his gaze and his mind, the viewer becomes an actor in the work.
