About the work: “This painting was made on the motif during a trip in the footsteps of Cézanne, in Aix-en-Provence and its surroundings. I placed my easel in the pine forest, protected from the scorching heat and the rays of the sun in the shade of the pines. This view of the sumptuous Sainte-Victoire is my tribute to this painter of genius. ”
