With the exhibition ABORIGINAL ART. Pierre Montagne collection which will be held from June 10 to September 26, 2021, the Paul Valéry Museum reconnects with its visitors by offering them a trip. At the origin of his collection, Pierre Montagne places the emotion of meeting the Aborigines, whose destitution and painful history, then the values of respect, solidarity and finally beauty that animate them deeply touched him. . The 70 canvases collected, by 63 different artists, offer a rich and diverse journey through the regions that are home to the most active communities in the field of painting, from the great desert spaces of central Australia to 'on the edge of Arnhem Land.
