Manon Paya: In parallel with her studies at the Louvre School and then at the National Heritage Institute, Manon developed her artistic activity. Passionate about drawing from an early age, she quickly turned towards hyperrealism, with a particular interest in the human figure, which she explored through different graphic techniques. She never uses tracing, spotlighting, or squaring. Her work is based on the observation and interpretation of personal photographs of which she modifies the compositions, in order to extract the essential: a face, a silhouette, a comical scene gone unnoticed ...
As an extension of the initial architectural gesture, the scenography of the Galerie Marc Ladreit de Lacharrière seeks to reveal the power of presence of the works. Original and poetic, creator of a sensitive relationship between the art object and the viewer ... ”The work of Ateliers Jean Nouvel must be commended here. The architect and his teams in particular imagined a totally innovative display model, the Aura, which hugs the object, models its vibrations. This halo principle, the realization of which has been entrusted to excellent Milanese craftsmen, constitutes an authentic technical feat and a world first. In my opinion, it marks a new age of museography, which gives way to the work in all its physical and spiritual dimensions, contrary to certain all-digital mirages ”
“Great attention has been paid to the presentation and contextualization of the works in the collection. To illustrate this important work of documentation, 16 focuses with historical and documentary references on the works, their provenance, their history and their geography are proposed. here."
