Vladimir HOFMANN is in the spotlight in Saint Petersburg.
Monumental representations of six of his sculptures are on boulevard Konnogvardeisky in Saint-Pétersboug (Between Saint Isaac’s Square and New Holland), until the end of February ….
Vladimir Hofmann deals with human destiny through two essential themes: the “Train of life”, that is to say the mosaic of everyday life, and the “Inner journey” of Man in search of himself.
His artistic creed was influenced by the family atmosphere, oscillating between music, dance and the visual arts. As a teenager, he attended the studio of the avant-garde Russian painter Yuri Annenkov, portrait painter of the Silver Age and its main actors. He also followed the teaching of Ossip Zadkine at the Grande Chaumière. A graduate of the Special School of Architecture and the National School of Fine Arts, he became an architect and plastic artist, in the broad sense of the term.
“My sculptures are graphic, they develop in space … They express the journey of man in relation to the passage of time and punctuate our existence. Man and his destiny are at the center of my universe”. Vladimir Hofmann.
OUR EXHIBITIONS AND EVENTS
– Until the end of February, the OCTO Company invited us to exhibit in its premises Avenue de l’Opéra in Paris, three artists from the Gallery: Béatrice Bissara, Vladimir Hofmann, François Nugues.
– Vladimir Hofmann’s sculptures are on display until the end of February in Saint Petersburg on Konnogvardeisky boulevard, one of the main boulevards in the city center ….. 6 monumental sculptures from his series “Indoor walk” height 2m 40m in temporary place.
– From April 30 to May 14, 2020, Cloître de Billettes in Paris in the Marais district we will exhibit Marie le Petit and François Nugues.
